Moldavite Informations
Moldavites are about 14,8 Million years old and belong to the family of Tektites. Tektites are natural, terrestrial glasses made by a large Meteorite impact.
The Moldavites fell down in Strewfields near the todays rivervalley of the Moldau river in the Czech Republik. That`s why they are called Moldavites. The Meteorite Crater "Nördlinger Ries" is hundrets of kilometers away in South Germany.
